The 12th Annual Festival of Abraham was held on November 9th at the Caribbean House in New Orleans. Some 40 Christian, Jewish, Muslim delegates, with the hosting local Baha’i Assembly, enjoyed sharing outstanding artistic expressions from their respective Abrahamic traditions. The Baha’i leader, Parvis Mojgani, chanted an inspiring poetry-prayer; Cantor David Mintz of Touro Synagogue played on his guitar a lovely selection of Jewish prayer-songs; Dr. Mahmoud Sarmini of Omar Mosque shared video with the art of photography for educating in the faith ; and Rev. Dr. Patrick Keen of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, read a satire by the Christian author C.S. Lewis in his, “Screwtape Letters” with the Devil’s explanations to his earthen agent on various ways to weaken or eliminate belief in God.
